Easter In March

There was a little Easter Egg Hunt for the KIDS in our neighborhood...but unfortunately so many PARENTS were greedy. Caden was only able to get TWO eggs for the TWO seconds the hunt lasted. Good thing there was a fun little petting zoo to semi make up for it.

Caden was very surprised at how much candy the Easter Bunny (Daddy) brought him! And so was Mom! (Can you tell Adam likes Peeps?)

Mom was so fun and cut out pieces of stickers to make EggHead Puppets. They were really cool.

My Sleeping Beauty

This is how I found Caden sleeping...half of him on the bed and half of him on the side-table. Ha ha. Don't you love your precious kids so much when they are sleeping?! So peaceful.

Exciting News

Okay, the time has come.

I MEAN, I'm finally going to fill in those of you who don't know...

Yes, we are expecting Baby #2 sometime BEFORE Oct. 3rd, 2008!

(My last doctor advised me not to go longer than 39 weeks because my mom had big babies and I had a big baby and a horrid delivery experience to go along with it. To make a long story short, Caden came into the world weighing 8 lbs 14 oz and after trying to turn the posterior baby three times to no avail, after four hours of straight pushing, after trying the vacuum, ...the forceps finally helped him out. Recovery was a nightmare. Needless to say, I'm scared, but optimistic this next experience will be different! --BETTER!)

People have been telling me they haven't seen me around much and have been asking me if I'm sick or something. YES I AM! But it's not contagious...don't worry. I was hoping it would be different this time, but I am SICK, SICK, SICK. I am 11 weeks now and hoping it lets up SOON!

Although, last time, it didn't let up. But as I said...it's going to be different this time! ha ha.

ANYWAY, we were able to get a picture of the little parasite:

I will always remember his optimistic and friendly personality.

I will never forget his wonderful smile and his hearty laugh.

I know he is happy still.

We'll all miss you, Grandpa.

Snow

We knew it was snowing to the WEST of us...but we didn't think it would really make its way to our backyard! It was very exciting to open the blinds this morning and discover the scattered snow. Caden ate his breakfast of "talking cereal" (Rice Crispies) just as fast as he could so he could play outside before the snow melted away. He wanted to make sure he got to make a snowball to throw at Daddy.

One of Caden's favorite things to do when it snows... EAT it.

Caden asked for a sled to ride around on...but as you can see, there wasn't much snow for that.

Dang it.

SNOW BALL FIGHT!

This is what our backyard looked like BEFORE they went out to play...

And AFTER they were done...

Within an hour, the snow was mostly gone.

Good thing we didn't sleep in this morning!
It melted SUPER fast, but it was fun while it lasted.

When Grandpa Comes - Hurray

We've been spending time at Grandma's house while Grandpa was in town.

(It's a rare treat when he's around.)

We Love The Zoo

Gotta love these nice weather days in February. We took advantage of it and went to the zoo with Grandpa! It's so great he gets to visit for a little bit. Caden had a blast at the zoo. He kept saying, "This is a really cool adventure, huh?" So fun!

Freak Hail

Well, I got to experience hail for the first time since I've been here in Texas. It was kind of exciting. We didn't know if it would get to be golf ball size like the weather people warned it might, so we ran out to put our cars in the garage. It was hillarious. We got soaked. There was a river going down our street and the hail was SO LOUD! Of course the second we got our cars situated in the garage, it all died down and stopped. I guess our good weather run came to a halt. It's cold and windy today!!!
